ಹಾಸನ, ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್,22,2026(www.kannadapost.com):ವಿಶ್ವ ಭೂ ದಿನಾಚರಣೆ ಅಂಗವಾಗಿ ಏಕಲವ್ಯ ರೊರರ್ಸ್, ಜೀವ ಜಲ ಫೌಂಡೇಶನ್, ಪೂರ್ಣಪ್ರಜ್ಞ ಸಮೂಹ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಭಾರತ ಸ್ಕೌಟ್ಸ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಗೈಡ್ಸ್ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಲಾದ ಜಾಗೃತಿ ಜಾಥಾಕ್ಕೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್. ಲತಾಕುಮಾರಿ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕಚೇರಿ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧಿಕಾರಿ ಕೆ.ಎಸ್. ಲತಾಕುಮಾರಿ ಅವರು, “ನಮಗೆ ಇರುವುದೇ ಒಂದೇ ಭೂಮಿ. ಅದನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಭೂಮಿ ಉಳಿಸೋಣ ಎಂದು ಕೇವಲ ಮಾತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳುವುದರಿಂದ ಸಾಲದು, ಕಾರ್ಯಪ್ರವೃತ್ತರಾಗಬೇಕು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಪರಿಸರ ಮಾಲಿನ್ಯ ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟುವುದು ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ನಾಗರಿಕರ ಹೊಣೆಗಾರಿಕೆ. ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕೆಲಸಗಳನ್ನು ಸರ್ಕಾರವೇ ಮಾಡಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ. ಜನರ ಸಹಭಾಗಿತ್ವ ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಭೂಮಿ ಉಳಿಸುವ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರೂ ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕರೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರತ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತರ ಸಂಘದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಉಪಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಎಚ್.ಬಿ. ಮದನಗೌಡ, ಜಿಲ್ಲಾಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಜೆ.ಆರ್. ಕೆಂಚೇಗೌಡ, ಸ್ಕೌಟ್ಸ್ ಅಂಡ್ ಗೈಡ್ಸ್ನ ಕಾಂಚನಮಾಲ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.
District Commissioner K.S. Lathakumari flagged off an Earth Day awareness rally in Hassan, urging citizens to actively participate in protecting the environment.
Hassan: On the occasion of World Earth Day, an awareness rally was organized by Ekalavya Roarers, Jeeva Jala Foundation, Poorna Pragya Group, and Bharat Scouts and Guides. The rally was flagged off by District Commissioner K.S. Lathakumari.
Speaking at the event held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office premises, K.S. Lathakumari emphasized that “We have only one Earth, and protecting it is everyone’s responsibility. It is not enough to just speak about saving the Earth; we must act.”
She highlighted that preventing environmental pollution is the duty of every citizen and not just the government. Public participation is crucial in safeguarding the environment.
She urged everyone to join hands in protecting the Earth.
The event was attended by Karnataka Working Journalists Association State Vice President H.B. Madan Gowda, District President J.R. Kenchegowda, Scouts and Guides representative Kanchanamala, and others.
