ಮೈಸೂರು, ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 2,2026(www.kannadapost.com): ನರಸೀಪುರ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಮುಚ್ಚುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವ ಎಚ್.ಸಿ ಮಹದೇವಪ್ಪ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟನೆ ನೀಡಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಆತಂಕ ಪಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದರು.
ನರಸೀಪುರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಮುಚ್ಚಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಳು ಹರಿದಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ, ಸಮಾಜ ಕಲ್ಯಾಣ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಸಚಿವ ಎಚ್.ಸಿ ಮಹದೇವಪ್ಪ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದು, ನರಸೀಪುರ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಮುಚ್ಚುವ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅನಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಕೆಲವರು ಗೊಂದಲ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಅವರು ಅಸಮಾಧಾನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಮೈಸೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಸಚಿವರು, ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಉದ್ದೇಶ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಉದ್ಯಮದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಯೇ ಹೊರತು ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಯನ್ನು ಮುಚ್ಚುವುದು ಅಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು. ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಆತಂಕಪಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ನರಸೀಪುರ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಕುರಿತು ಗೊಂದಲ
ಸಚಿವ ಮಹದೇವಪ್ಪ ವಿವರಿಸಿದಂತೆ, ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಮಾರುಕಟ್ಟೆಗೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಸಿದಂತೆ ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸುಮಾರು ಒಂದೂವರೆ ಎಕರೆ ಜಾಗವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಯಾನವನ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸುವ ಕುರಿತು ಮೊದಲಿಗೆ ಚರ್ಚೆ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ನಂತರ ಈ ನಿರ್ಧಾರವನ್ನು ಮರುಪರಿಶೀಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.
“ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ತೊಂದರೆ ಆಗಬಾರದು. ಅವಶ್ಯಕವಾದರೆ ಆ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಮುಖ್ಯ,” ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವರು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದರು.
ಅವರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಕೆಲವು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳು ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈ ವಿಷಯವನ್ನು ದೊಡ್ಡದಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಗೊಂದಲ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಆತಂಕಪಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ
ನರಸೀಪುರ ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಮುಚ್ಚಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂಬ ಸುದ್ದಿಯಿಂದ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಆತಂಕ ಮೂಡಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಮಹದೇವಪ್ಪ, ಕಾರ್ಮಿಕರು ಮತ್ತು ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕರು ಯಾವುದೇ ರೀತಿಯ ಆತಂಕಪಡುವ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
“ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಉದ್ಯಮದ ಬೆಳವಣಿಗೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಕುಂದು ಬಾರದಂತೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ನಮ್ಮ ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಅವರು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಹೇಳುವಂತೆ, ವಿಷಯದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸರಿಯಾದ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಬಾಯಿಗೆ ಬಂದಂತೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಂತಹ ಹೇಳಿಕೆಗಳು ಅನಗತ್ಯ ಗೊಂದಲಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣವಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಸಭೆ
ಈ ವಿಷಯದ ಕುರಿತು ಕ್ರೀಡಾ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಯ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಸಭೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಸಚಿವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
“ತೀರ ಅವಶ್ಯಕತೆ ಕಂಡುಬಂದರೆ ಆ ಜಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಂಗಣ ನಿರ್ಮಾಣ ಮಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ರೇಷ್ಮೆ ಕಾರ್ಖಾನೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಅಡ್ಡಿ ಬರದಂತೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಿದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ – ಇರಾನ್ ಯುದ್ಧ: ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆ
ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಇಸ್ರೇಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಇರಾನ್ ನಡುವಿನ ಉದ್ವಿಗ್ನ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿದ ಸಚಿವ ಮಹದೇವಪ್ಪ, ಈ ಘಟನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೈಸೂರಿನವರು ಸಿಲುಕಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಇಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಕಟವಾಗಿ ಗಮನಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಕನ್ನಡಿಗರ ಸುರಕ್ಷತೆಗಾಗಿ ಅಗತ್ಯ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
“ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳು ಕೂಡ ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಮೈಸೂರಿನವರು ಸಿಲುಕಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನಮಗೆ ಬಂದಿಲ್ಲ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ವಿಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಇಲ್ಲ
ರಾಜಕೀಯ ವಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಚರ್ಚೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿರುವ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಹಂಚಿಕೆ ವಿಚಾರ ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಳಿದ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ ಸಚಿವ ಮಹದೇವಪ್ಪ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯಿಸಲು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿದರು.
“ನಾನು ಯಾರ ಬಗ್ಗೆಯೂ ಮಾತನಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾರು ನನ್ನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಏನೇ ಹೇಳಿದರೂ ಉತ್ತರ ನೀಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಪಕ್ಷದ ವಿಚಾರಗಳನ್ನು ಹೈಕಮಾಂಡ್ ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

Mysuru, March 2, 2026: Karnataka Social Welfare Minister H.C. Mahadevappa has clarified that the Narasipura Silk Factory will not be closed, putting an end to speculation and rumors that had created concern among workers and local residents.
Speaking to the media in Mysuru, the minister said some individuals were unnecessarily spreading confusion regarding the future of the factory. He assured that the government is committed to protecting and strengthening the silk industry in the region.
Confusion Over Narasipura Silk Factory
The Narasipura Silk Factory recently became the center of public discussion after reports suggested that the land used for the silk market might be repurposed for other development projects.
Minister Mahadevappa explained that there had been a preliminary proposal to utilize about one and a half acres of land associated with the silk market area for the development of a park. However, the government has now reviewed that decision.
“If the silk factory faces any difficulty, we will not proceed with constructing a stadium or other projects on that land. For us, the silk factory is the priority,” the minister said.
He added that the government has no prestige issue in reconsidering earlier plans if they affect workers or industry growth.
Workers Need Not Panic
Rumors about the closure of the Narasipura Silk Factory had created anxiety among employees and local communities dependent on the silk industry.
Addressing their concerns, Mahadevappa said workers should remain calm and not believe misleading statements circulating in public.
“Our government has given the highest priority to the development of the silk sector. It is our responsibility to ensure that the factory continues to function without any disruption,” he stated.
The minister also criticized those spreading misinformation without understanding the actual situation.
“Some people are making statements without knowing the facts. Such comments only create unnecessary panic,” he added.
Meeting with Department Officials
Mahadevappa said he has already conducted discussions with officials from the Sports Department and the Sericulture Department regarding the matter.
According to him, the government will ensure that no decision harms the functioning of the silk factory.
“If required, we will drop the idea of building a stadium in that area. The silk factory must not face any difficulty,” he reiterated.
The government is currently reviewing options to balance development projects while safeguarding industrial operations in the region.
Israel–Iran Conflict: Safety of Kannadigas
When asked about the safety of people from Karnataka amid the ongoing Israel–Iran tensions, the minister said there is currently no information about Mysuru residents being affected.
He assured that the Karnataka government is closely monitoring the situation and is ready to take necessary steps to ensure the safety of Kannadigas living abroad.
“The Chief Minister has already discussed the matter with officials. As of now, we have not received any information that people from Mysuru are stranded in the conflict,” Mahadevappa said.
No Comments on Power Sharing
The minister declined to comment on the political discussions regarding power-sharing within the party.
“I will not speak about such matters. Whatever decisions need to be made will be taken by the party high command,” he said.
Mahadevappa added that he prefers not to respond to statements made by others in the political arena.
